Metodologia

Juan Manuel Capriotti and Graciana Romeo, propose an integral work of the person where movement and feeling is transformed into a single thing: TANGO.

The work begins with “Propedéutica of the Dance” for the initiation to the tango, the method is based on the infantile games and the observation of how the daily movements were developed. It means to coordinate the movements for a better development and understanding of the motor capacity. The result would be a body with possibilities, which means not to train it like an object of being able, but of feeling it truely free. To dance is to allow itself to show with the body all a series of sensations that motivates the musical sense and the ductility of your partner. It is necessary to separate the dance, as personal manifestation and the dance like ability and skill.

Our objective in the learning process is to go a little beyond the step, the figure or the choreography, and to be able to recognized de basics tools of this dance to be albe to do them with the compass of the music. For us this is the fundamental tool for creation. "... the tango comes from the conviction inside that you are with your partner and you will be able to write your history... " (V. Colossio) In this game of two, the man guides, leads, directs, proposing the patterns according to what the music is suggesting, whereas the woman sensitively responds to the proposal and complete the dance. Each DANCER MUST CREATE HIS OWN STYLE. The more authentic and personal his tanguero walk is, the more credible will be his speech.


First we begin with an integral work of Recognition of the Basic Tools of the tango-dance so that each person, beyond the dance level in which it is, can enjoy a good and pleasure dance. The primary target is to gradually obtain an important degree of connection between the two dancers (leader and follower); and then the greater possible coherence between the movements that we generated and the music that we are listening. In this way we freed ourselves of the heavy structures that make the dance something rigid and boring; while we will be approached to an ideal state of dance that we called Instantaneous Creation in Movement in which improvisation, fluidity, freedom, pleasure and imagination become one to enjoy this magic dance.
